when initially installing the software the tech support was very unfriendly and rude when explaining how to install on my operating system (which was also unnecessarily complex - I have never had to call a tech support for help on installing a program on my windows PC.Here are the 4 segments or subjects that each covers: when you "click here for an in-depth text book explanation" it takes me back to the chapter I just read and 90% of the time the chapter does NOT explain the material the study questions are testing on at all.Ĥ. all it says is "please see the correct answer for an explanation." so I have to keep guessing to get the correct answer and explanation.
when I answer a question wrong, it doesn't give me feedback on what the correct answer is and WHY. the time to load each question is too longĢ.
now regretting not buying the other software for the second try.ġ. I failed BEC the first time and I am studying again to take BEC with Bisk. I used a different exam prep for AUD and passed on the first try. I have been using the self-guided software exam prep for BEC. The level of detail is evident and included in the materials which is great but of little use without a solid foundation of understanding. It makes it difficult to retain the information, reinforce that you have actually learned something outside of rote memorization and ultimately gain any real confidence in your preparation until you've supplemented your studies elsewhere.
In my opinion, Bisk's materials don't do an adequate job of setting up an adequate framework, employing a variety of illustrative/other learning aids and offering insight into the many relationships/parallels that exist among concepts. I have yet to take the exam but feel strongly that an overall understanding of main concepts and the ability to apply them critically is a basic foundation for success. I have been studying for FAR for a month using Bisk's book material as a basis for my studying and supplemented it with a couple of online apps, flash cards and discussion boards.
